My first few weeks at Normec were all about observing, learning and gaining experience. I shadowed colleagues, followed e-learning courses and took on my first tasks step by step. I had a lot of questions at first, but after a few weeks everything started to fall into place and that gave me confidence.

You learn the job mainly by doing it. The financial part was new to me, so I asked to practise that often. If I got stuck, I could always consult with a colleague, which worked very well. The variety makes the work enjoyable. Every client, location and situation is different, and sometimes you even come across offices with dogs, which is a nice bonus for a dog lover like me. Now that I work independently as an SNA inspector, I can see how dynamic the work really is: no two days are the same.
