Lead the next phase of growth for Normec OWM – Marine Compliance UK by combining commercial leadership, operational excellence, and a highly personal customer approach in a specialist, fast-growing business within the Normec Group.
You will lead a respected specialist in integrated water management and compliance solutions for the offshore, marine, and energy industries. Normec OWM supports customers globally with consultancy, compliance, sampling, technical supply, audits, training, and water management services that ensure safe and compliant operations.
This role requires a highly commercial, sales-oriented leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is equally comfortable shaping strategy and engaging directly with customers and teams.

Strategic & Commercial Leadership
Develop and execute the growth strategy for Normec OWM and the Marine Compliance business in the UK
Further strengthen the company’s position and our UK position as a trusted compliance and water management partner for offshore, marine, and industrial customers
Drive revenue growth through new business development, account expansion, and service innovation
Own and deliver against sales targets, pipeline management, and forecasting
Expand commercial opportunities across consultancy, compliance, testing, audits, training, and technical supply
Identify new markets, sectors, and offshore opportunities to scale the business
Lead pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial decision-making
Act as a senior ambassador for the business, building trusted relationships at C-suite level
Lead and embed a high-performance, sales-driven culture
Oversee the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through to deal closure
Strengthen customer retention through a highly personal, service-oriented approach
Drive cross-selling opportunities within the wider Normec Group to support the Normec Marine Compliance UK business
Deepen strategic partnerships across offshore, marine, and energy clients globally
Operational & Financial Leadership
Take full ownership of operational and financial performance together with the general manager
Lead sustainable margin and EBITDA improvement initiatives
Ensure operational excellence, efficiency, and scalability as the business grows
Further professionalize reporting structures, KPI management, and forecasting processes
Maintain the high quality standards and customer responsiveness that distinguish Normec OWM in the market
Support and optimize operational delivery together with the general manager in a hands-on and pragmatic way
Leadership & Culture
Set the strategic direction of Normec OWM in alignment with broader group ambitions of UK Marine compliance
Identify and pursue organic and inorganic growth opportunities
Translate strategy into actionable commercial and operational plans
Collaborate with global leadership on capability development and service innovation
Position the business as a leading partner in offshore water management and compliance
Lead and inspire a close-knit, specialist team with strong technical expertise
Maintain and strengthen the entrepreneurial and customer-centric culture
Act as a visible and approachable leader for both employees and customers
We are looking for a commercially strong and hands-on leader who combines strategic thinking with operational involvement and people leadership.
Experience & Competencies
Proven experience as a Managing Director, Business Unit Leader, or senior executive in offshore, marine, energy, or technical services sectors
Strong commercial track record delivering revenue growth and sales performance, in a face pace high energy environment, ideally PE environment.
Demonstrated success in business development, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships
Experience managing complex operations with full P&L accountability
Deep understanding of offshore, compliance, or industrial service environments (preferred)
Hands-on mentality with the ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial SME environment
Experience leading teams through growth and organizational development
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Pragmatic, decisive, and action-oriented leadership style
Comfortable working in an international and fast-paced environment
Practical Requirements
Based in or willing to relocate to the Aberdeen area
Willingness to travel internationally when required
